As the Individual Championship for National Manufacturing Industry, what does the 3.4 mm micro-transmission system signify for ZHAOWEI?

“In the vibrant tapestry of ZHAOWEI’ s journey, the successful development of the 3.4 mm micro-transmission system stands tall as one of the milestones. The story of ZHAOWEI and micro-transmission system started in 2013 when ZHAOWEI team encountered micro high-precision gearbox parts that integrates the world-leading technology. From that moment, ZHAOWEI embarked on an odyssey, in which the development of precision, micro and ultra-thin transmission system became its product development strategy.

With years of unremitting efforts, ZHAOWEI has boldly ventured into uncharted territories, independently developed the designing and modeling software for micro transmission system. Utilizing the MIM molding technology, ZHAOWEI has pioneered a multi-cavity precision gear manufacturing technique with 64 cavities. Breaking through the technical barriers of the precision detection of micro gears within 0.1 mm, ZHAOWEI has achieved the mass production of 3.4 mm micro-transmission system. This feat propelled ZHAOWEI to become a leading micro-drive system manufacturer in China.”

ZHAOWEI was once an obscure manufacture of motor parts. So, what propelled ZHAOWEI to the forefront of China’s micro-drive systems industry over the past two decades?

“Looking back at the 21 years of its journey, ZHAOWEI’s contribution lies behind its long-standing vision and mission – “committed to progress in the field of micro-drives to create a smarter and better life.” Fueled by this vision, ZHAOWEI has remained dedicated to technology innovation.

Every year, ZHAOWEI recruits talents from universities worldwide. Up to now, ZHAOWEI has formed a comprehensive R&D team consisting of over 500 professionals, including transmission system experts and senior engineers. ZHAOWEI has filed for more than 450 intellectual property rights, including over 117 patents.

As the foundation of precision manufacturing, ZHAOWEI has made significant investments in upgrading machine equipment. Every year, ZHAOWEI import advanced equipments from Germany, Switzerland and Japan. Statistics reveal that ZHAOWEI has invested 130 million yuan in R&D innovation, constituting 11.6% of its total revenue in 2021.”

In respond to the national policies for intelligent manufacturing transformation, ZHAOWEI has introduced scientific and effective production management system such as MES and EPR to achieve accurate collection of data from design, manufacturing, inspection, research and development. Based on the feedback collected, ZHAOWEI can promptly initiate improvements and upgrades.
